Jill Hawkey Executive Director

Beginning her career as a social worker, Jill went on to become the director of national and international faith-based aid and development organisations, including a period as Deputy General Secretary of ACT Alliance, based in Geneva. Upon her return to Christchurch, Jill became the Executive Director of the Christchurch Methodist Mission. Her ambition is to see the Mission fulfil its kaupapa of helping build resilient and responsive communities throughout the upper South Island.

Andrew Gallagher Finance Manager

Andrew was appointed to this role in November 2019 having worked in financial and IT roles, predominantly in charitable and not-for-profit organisations. Andrew is a full member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. The CMM finance team supports all facets of CMM’s varied activities, keeping a constant eye on the strong social ethics that are important to the Mission.

Cath Swain WesleyCare Care Services Manager

Cath leads our WesleyCare team by providing high quality care and support to residents and families. She was previously a village manager at Ryman Healthcare and prior to that, a village manager of two Anglican living facilities. Cath has also managed other aged care facilities in Christchurch. She began her career as a registered nurse.

Andrea Wilson-Tukaki Community Development Manager

Andrea is a registered teacher who has over 27 years experience working for CMM in teaching and management roles across several teams. She is passionate about building communities that support people to be the best version of themselves and who work together to support one another.

Eve Lafferty Social Services Manager

Eve is a registered social worker with over 20 years experience as a manager and as a practitioner in services that support families both in Aotearoa and in the United Kingdom. She is passionate about finding the best ways to support whānau so that tamariki can thrive.

Andrea Goodman Housing Manager

Andrea joined CMM in 2015 and has overseen the rapid growth of the Housing Division since that time. Andrea has worked in the housing sector for many years, previously in government, local government and private sector roles.

Nicola Fleming Housing First Manager

Nic has managed the team at Housing First Ōtautahi since its establishment in 2018. She previously worked for the Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority and for Kāinga Ora. Her career has focused on housing and supporting those most vulnerable in our communities. She is proud to be part of a team working hard to make homelessness in Ōtautahi rare, brief and non-recurring.
