This service provides housing and support for young people who have been in Oranga Tamariki care. We offer housing and youth work support to help young people develop the skills to live independently. Young people must be aged between 18-21 and eligible for support through the Oranga Tamariki Transitions Service. All referrals through an Oranga Tamariki social worker or Transitions worker only.

We provide housing for young people 16-24 years old who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Rangatahi will learn skills to manage a tenancy and to live independently. They will have a youth worker or social worker to support them with weekly hui (meetings) and work on goals that the rangatahi identify. This housing is for singles or parents. All referrals are through MSD only.

We manage the housing services for Youth Hub Christchurch, providing transitional housing for rangatahi in a purpose-built supported housing wing containing 22 single-bedroom units. This service is for young people aged between 16 to 24 years who are in immediate housing need.
The housing is staffed 24/7 and each rangatahi has a Youth Development Coach to help them reach their goals and develop skills in living independently. Rangatahi need to be working towards engaging in education, training, employment or volunteering.
Youth Hub Christchurch provides wrap-around care for rangatahi including mental health, medical and educational services, employment and training, recreation, creativity and social entrepreneurship.
