ParentWorks is two-stage group programme for parents who have children (0-13 years) in care. It is believed the most positive outcomes will be achieved by parents participation in both stages. Stage OneFocuses on the effects of separation, grief and loss, children’s needs, the impact of parents’ lifestyles and relationships with Child Youth and Family.Stage TwoFocuses on building positive parenting and emotional management skills.ParentWorks (Stage One) programmes start twice a year in February and July. The programmes on offer for next term can be viewed on Group Programmes. How Stage One (9 weeks) worksA pre-programme meeting between the client, their support person and ChildWise will identify Stage One goals.
