ChildWise is a community social work service that aims to strengthen and enhance the well-being of children, families and communities.
ChildWise provides a wide range of integrated services for families with children from 0 to 13 years.
Our services include home-based social work, parenting education, children's life-skills group programmes and child counselling.
Group programmes are available each school term.

Services for Parents
HomeLink
Home-based, goal-focused social work service.
ParentWise
An 8 week positive parenting group programme, for parents of preschool and primary age children.
ParentWorks
A two-stage group programme for parents who have children(0-13 years) in care.
Parenting Through Separation
A free two-session group information programme for parents going through or considering separation who would like to help their children at this difficult time. A Ministry of Justice programme.
WomanWise
A programme, run on demand for women who have completed a current group programme.
Services for Children
Child Counselling
Individual counselling for children 3-13 years, who have been affected by change, loss, grief or abuse.
Wise-Up
An 8-week life skills group programme for children aged 6 - 12 years, teaching self-respect, self-control, self-confidence and self-esteem.
Young Leaders
A programme for graduates of Wise-Up, to build leadership skills by assisting in further Wise-Up programmes.

- all belong to a professional association or are in the process of joining
Referrals
Referrals for all services are accepted
- direct from families
- from agencies with the individual / family's consent
